1. Overview
Tung oil fatty acid (TOFA) is made from tung oil. Its main component is tofa, but it also contains small amounts of linolenic acid, linoleic acid, and oleic acid.
This acid is produced using a green and environmentally friendly process. Since it does not use acids or alkalis, the product contains no impurity ion residues and is of excellent quality.
Tonic acid has three conjugated double bonds, high reactivity, and is a fatty acid with excellent drying properties. It is mainly used for the synthesis of self-drying alkyd resins, epoxy ester resins, ink resins, and epoxy curing agents. To prevent excessive viscosity rise and excessive curing speed during resin synthesis, which can cause wrinkles and cracking, modification treatment or mixing with other oleic acids is generally required.

3. Product Features
1. This acid has not been decolorized, resulting in a darker product color.
2. This product is produced by hydrolysis, containing about 2% dimer and 3% tung oil.
3. This product is a fluid above 5°C (saponified acidified products are solid at room temperature), making it convenient to use.
4. When the temperature is low, the product may crystallize and separate; it can be melted and stirred before use, with the effect unchanged.
5. Our company also produces tung-linoleic acid (3:7 ratio) to meet the specific requirements of some customers.
4. Packaging and storage
1. Packaged in 200L iron or plastic drums, each drum with a net weight of 180 kg.
2. The outer wall of the packaging container should have a product label indicating product name, model, batch number, manufacturer, address, and production date.
3. This product is flammable. Store and transport away from fire sources, but as a non-hazardous material, store and transport as general substances.
4. This product should be stored sealed in a cool place. High temperatures and exposure may significantly alter its composition.
5. The iodine value of this product is unstable; when stored at high temperatures, the iodine value drops rapidly. This product should be stored in a cool place with a shelf life of one month. It should be used up as soon as possible after purchase.
