1. Overview

Linoleic Acid, or octadecadienoic acid, has two unsaturated double bonds. Pure linoleic acid is transparent oily liquid with freezing point at -5℃ and boiling point at 230℃ (at 2.13KPa); while industrial linoleic acid products consist of linoleic acid and oleic acid mixture and small amount of palmitic acid, stearic acid and linolenic acid.

This product is made from vegetal oil with high linoleic acid content. Through hydrolysis and distillation, the raw material is made into mixed fatty acid; then after purification and separation, the mixed fatty acid is made into industrial linoleic acid.

This product has several strengths such as stable linoleic acid content, light color, high iodine value and low freezing point; it can be used in biological fermentation additives, or as raw materials for ink and coatings,emulgator, metal processing agent, floatation agent, pharmaceutical agent and surfactant.

3. Packaging, Symbol, Transport and Storage

a. Packages applied are 200L steel drum lined with plastic, with net weight of 180kg each; or transport in bulk such as in flexitank, standard tank or tank car.

b. The product is flammable and should be kept away from combustion source during transport and storage, but it is not classified as dangerous goods and can be transport and stored as normal goods.

c. The product should be stored at shade place. Its expiration date is one year but expired product can still be used if passed inspection.
